Vinted Users Voice Anger Over Size Changes
Members of the platform have expressed outrage following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its sizing categories for women's and children's garments but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.
Social Media Backlash
Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with similar services.
It has advised users to check their listings and update the measurements by hand if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Measurement Approach Changes
Earlier, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
User Accounts
Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she explained.

The service features exceeding 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has become a favored option compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: earlier, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
