The team Vets Over 35s are based in south Manchester and play in the Cheshire Vets League Premier Division.

Their squad list this season includes nine former top-flight footballers, with a collective over 1,800 Premier League games.

This elite roster also contains over 220 top division scores and over 320 global appearances.

The squad feature Papiss Cisse, who scored 37 scores in over 100 games for his former club after signing for them for £9m from German league side SC Freiburg in January 2012.

"It's a little different but then, I love sprinting and just move forward - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep attacking.

"The movement is what I'm looking for. It's good fun."

Dreamlike' Feeling

Along with the forward's six goals on debut, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in 3 appearances for Wythenshawe, while George Boyd scored five on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a hat-trick in one match up front.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Top Division with 3 victories from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who plays on the wing for the opposition, faced ex- Wigan defender Figueroa on Sunday - and had to explain his young son who Emile Heskey was.
